Qais Farjo, MDMedical School:

  • University of Michigan Medical School

Ophthalmology Residency Training:

  • University of Michigan Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences

Fellowship in Corneal and Refractive Surgery:

  • University of Michigan

Dr. Farjo has specialized training in all diseases and surgery of the cornea, iris and lens.

As an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan for 5 years, he consulted on many difficult cases and was involved in training numerous physicians in diagnosis and management of ophthalmic disorders. He continues to consult on difficult cases and performs more corneal transplants than anyone in the region.

He is currently an associate Medical Director of the Midwest Eye Bank which provides most of the corneal tissue for the region. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Toledo / Medical University of Ohio where he regularly lectures to medical students..

Furthermore, he performs a variety refractive surgical procedures to reduce dependence on glasses and contacts including LASIK, LASEK, CK, and INTACS.

In addition to routine 'no-stitch' cataract surgery, Dr. Farjo also performs complex cataract and lens implant surgery and specializes in the repair of traumatized eyes. Finally, he is certified in the implantation of the latest lens implants such as the Visian ICL and Restor lenses.

Below is a partial list of Dr. Farjo's credentials:
