Technology
Vision Associates is a national leader in the developement and assimilation of technology in healthcare. Our Electronic Medical Records system won first place in the 2002 National TEPR competition for subspecialty practices. We were Microsoft's first runner up for Clinic of the Year in 2003. We are a development partner with the award winning NextGen Electronic Record system and Ophthalmic Imaging Systems, among other developers.
We are not committed to technology for its own sake, but rather because it helps us to provide the best and most efficient care that we can offer. As an example, our new EPIC automated refraction systems allow us to zero in on precise changes in your focusing and glasses needs and to do so much faster than with old manual systems. We employ various new technologies in retinal care, and we have perenially been the first source in the region for such new technology. Although these new systems are extemely expensive, we take pride in our ability to be the first to bring the latest and best eyecare to Toledo and Northwest Ohio.
