Neuro-Ophthalmology
Dr. Gerald Striph provides consultations for neuro-ophthalmological problems.
He served as a neuro-ophthalmology fellow at the Johns Hopkins Hospital
prior to moving to Toledo. Neuro-ophthalmology deals with visual problems
related to the brain and the nerves leading to the eye. Common problems
include multiple sclerosis, strokes, brain tumors, loss of side vision,
double vision, and unexplained loss of vision. In general, patients are
seen on referral from a neurologist, ophthalmologist, or optometrist.
Patients may also directly schedule an appointment. It is helpful if
patients bring old records (or ask the referring doctor to send a summary)
and any x-rays or laboratory studies.
To schedule an appointment give us a call at (419) 578-2020 or toll free
at 1-(888) 322-7070.
